BFi OPTiLAS is strengthening its M2M product base with the introduction of Motorola’s W24 Wi-Fi and GPS modules.


For communication solutions between multiple M2M devices concentrated in a single area the W24 has been launched to securely transfer data to any access point. The W24 offloads the internet communications task from the host application and by inserting a few simple commands it is virtually “plug and play”. Additional benefits include the ability to stack it with the G24 GSM module for smooth Wi-Fi to cellular data routing.

By maintaining the same footprint across the range of modules, Motorola eases the design logistics and ability to incorporate different wireless technologies into one design. With the W24 added to the G24 modules (G24 Dual, G24 Quad, G24 Edge, G24 Lite or G24 Java) your design options are significantly broadened whilst still reducing costs.

Motorola’s new GPS module combines compact size with the latest SiRF technology. Your customers will get the results they need in fleet management, asset tracking and other location-based wireless applications. The GPS + G24 combo is the most cost effective solution of its kind on the market.
